Midway Gardens was built from 1913-1914 as a city block sized entertainment complex in downtown Chicago. These Sprites were among many sculptural objects executed by Alfonso Iannelli that sat atop the exterior walls.
This sculpture is made from cast stone concrete and is reinforced with galvanized aircraft cable. It weighs approximately 350 pounds and stands 64" tall. It is intended for both indoor and outdoor use, but if continually exposed to extreme weather changes in temperature it may suffer adverse affects. This sculpture is available in 5 color choices, Cream, Limestone, Pewter, Tan and Terra Cotta.
